Using Custom Properties

Custom properties display very quickly and can be used as inputs for other operations. Use custom properties to store the results of on-the-fly (and other) operations.

Displaying custom properties (in Map view)

  1. Go to Control Panel > View > Map view.
  2. Choose a horizon from the Horizon search box.
  3. Select the custom property from the Property dropbox.

Displaying custom properties (in 3D view)

  1. Go to Control Panel > View > 3D view.
  2. Right-click on a horizon and select "Settings for...".
  3. In the Horizon Settings window, select the custom property from the Property drop-down list.

Displaying histogram of custom properties

 

  1. In the Horizon tab, select the horizon.
  2. Expand the Display/Histogram section.
  3. Select the custom property from the Histogram drop-down list and click Create.
  4. A new histogram using values of the custom property will appear (see Displaying Horizon Histogram).

Using custom properties in Horizon Maths

  1. In the Map view, click the Operations tab.
  2. Select Horizon Maths in the Operations drop-down list (see Horizon Maths).
  3. Click the round blue "+" button and select the custom property from the Property drop-down list.
  4. Click Run.

Using custom properties with map contours

  1. In Map view, click the Display tab
  2. Scroll down to the Contours section and click the Show Contours checkbox (see Contouring Map View).
  3. Select the horizon from the Horizon drop-down list and the property to use.
