Using the Arbline View
Arblines are arbitrary lines that you can create in the Map View and from the Arbline tab in the Control Panel. In Map View, the start of an arbline is marked by a circle and the end by an arrow.
To open the Arbline View, you must first create an arbline (see Creating an Arbline).
Multiple Arbline Views can be opened at the same time (see Opening Multiple Views).
An arbline can be shifted/offset to view volume information at incremental locations without losing the original arbline (see Viewing shifted arbline (offset by distance)).
Open an Arbline View
- To open Arbline View:
- In the Control Panel, select View > Arbline View. This is only available after an arbline is created (see Creating an Arbline); or
- Right-click on an arbline in the Arbline tab and select "New Arbline View for [arbline name]".
- On Map View, right-click on an arbline and select "New View for [arbline name]".
Navigating Arblines
- The view shows the volume as it would appear if you were to straighten out the arbline.
- In this example, the well is close to the arbline and is therefore displayed in the Arbline View.
- Arblines are read from left to right.
- In the navigation bar, select the domain (TWT or TVDSS), the arbline, the shift value, shift increment and volume.
- Toggle arbline cut markers by pressing Ctrl+Shift+U. This will display or hide the location of the bend points for arblines made of multiple segments.
Tip: You can flip the horizontal axis in the Arbline View by pressing Ctrl + R.
