Reassign Geometry Headers
This process recalculates 2D and 3D geometry headers based on the values of other headers.
It will not allow you to manipulate the headers that fundamentally define a particular volume. For example, if the input is a 3D volume defined on INLINE, CROSSLINE, and OFFSET, then those headers cannot be modified.
It is your responsibility to ensure that the input trace headers are sensible!
Workflow
- In the Process tab, click the Add icon and select New Process.
 - Select Reassign Geometry Headers and type a name for the process.
 - In the Details Panel, select an input volume.
 - At the Input Headers section, select which trace headers to be reassigned (see Trace Headers).
 - At the Output Headers section, select which trace headers to be produced.

Trace Headers Used
Which trace headers are actually used will depend on your selection. See below:
- CDP — 2D CDP location on a given line
 - SX / SY — Source location
 - GX / GY — Receiver location
 - CDPX / CDPY — CDP location (which may or may not be at the bin centre, depending on your input data)
 - INLINE / CROSSLINE — 3D inline and crossline
 - OFFSET — Offset (which may or may not be at the bin centre, depending on your input data)
 - OTRAV — Azimuth

Any of the above trace headers can also be set, depending on the mode.
Input / Output Combinations
The input headers that you choose will determine which headers can be produced:
Input: CDPX / CDPY
- Inline / Crossline
 - 2D CDP (available only for 2D volumes)
