Overriding the Window of Interest
You can define a window of interest to confine the synthetics display, export and mistie analysis to a shallow-to-deep time/distance extent. In addition to using the default window of interest for all the wells as described in Default Window of Interest in Defining View Settings, it is possible to override the default settings and define a specific window of interest for a specific well.
Define window of interest for a specific well
- At the top the Synthetics window, select Current Well.
- Open the Well tab and go to the Override Window Of Interest section.
- Select the Shallow check box to define the minimum extent for the window of interest for the well.
- At Shallow, select to use a Constant or a Horizon to define the minimum time extent for the window of interest. If a horizon is chosen, you can optionally input a constant value in the adjacent box to offset the horizon.
- Select the Deep check box to define the maximum extent for window of interest for the well.
- At Deep, select to use a Constant or a Horizon to define the maximum time extent for the window of interest. If a horizon is chosen, you can optionally input a constant value in the adjacent box to offset the horizon.
Note: The window of interest extents are indicated by the red lines in the Well Navigation Panel.
