Insight crashes in nvoglv64.dll after NVIDIA driver update

Error message

Insight crashes suddenly.

The Insight log file (visible through the DUG Launcher) displays the following error message:

What it means

The NVIDIA display driver crashed. This is known to happen after updating the NVIDIA driver to the latest version.

Solutions

Enable Dynamic Streaming in NVIDIA Control Panel
  • Open the NVIDIA Control Panel
  • Click on "Manage 3D settings"
  • In the "Global settings" tab, "Global presets" list, select "Workstation App - Dynamic Streaming".
  • Save and restart Insight.

Alternatively, you can downgrade to the previously working version of the NVIDIA driver.
