Using Snapshots

In Insight, use Snapshots to capture the settings for a window or view. Use snapshots to recall useful, or hard-to-configure views in Insight. Most view types aside from the 3D view support snapshots. Well views use templates to save and recreate their display settings.

After setting up or using a view, create a snapshot to store all the settings, positions, selected data and details for that view. The view can be closed or changed afterwards without affecting the snapshot. Load the snapshot into the view to restore the settings, or open the snapshot to create a new view with the stored settings.

The Views tab in the Control Panel is used to organise and rename snapshots. Snapshots are saved in the project and can be shared with other users and sessions.
