Setting SEG-Y binary headers (export)

Before exporting a volume to SEG-Y, Insight allows you to edit all three SEG-Y text headers to match to your standard format: EBCDIC (text) Header; the per file Binary Header; and the per-Trace Header. If you already have a template, you can also load it to use.

Edit Binary Header
  1. In the SEG-Y Header Editor, click Binary Tab.
  2. These fields correspond to those in the SEG-Y rev 1 standard. A few are unmodifiable because they either come from the volume (e.g. sample interval), or are defined by the SEG-Y standard (e.g. format code).
  3. Gray fields cannot be edited. Add edits to white fields or select from pre-determined drop-down options.
