Assigning Classes and Units to Well Curves
Once you have imported and defined your log curve sets (see Defining Log Curves), you can edit the classes and units of the curves in the Well Configuration. You can also update the classes and units of a single or multiple well curves in the Well Manager.
Note: To edit the curve set, you have to be the owner of the well and the curve set. To take ownership of the well, right-click on the well in the Control Panel and select Take Ownership. To take ownership of the curve, click Own in the Curves tab of the Well Configuration.
Edit classes and units in Well Configuration
- From the Well tab, open the well configuration window by double-clicking or right-clicking a well, and select Configure.
- Select the Curves tab.
- Choose the Curve set/imported LAS file.
- Click Own/Take ownership (if needed).
- Click Edit.
- The Edit Log Curve Set window is displayed.
- To assign a new class to a curve, click the Class drop-down button and select the desired class.
- To assign a new unit, click the magnifying glass icon on the Unit field, search for a unit by typing into the search bar, and click the unit.
Update classes and units in Well Manager
- In the Control Panel, open the Well tab.
- At the tab header, click the Well Manager button.
- Search Options: Specify the preferred values to search for wells. Click the Search Wells button to display results in the Well Info Summary table. For more information, refer to Searching for Wells.
- Display well components table: Select Curves to display the well curves as a table below the summary table.
- Select wells from the Well Info Summary table to display the data in the Well Curves table.
- Class: Click the magnifying glass icon and search for and select the desired class.
- Unit: Click the magnifying glass icon and search for and select the desired unit.
- Save Changes: Click to save the classes and units updates.
Tip: To bulk update the classes and units of multiple cells, select and copy the content of a cell and paste it into other cells using keyboard shortcuts (ctrl+C/ctrl+V) or the right-click context menu.
